These are the questions I hear most from clients and collaborators. If you need more details or want to talk through something specific, just reach out — or connect with me on social media.
Scopecoder is my personal freelance software development brand, based in Athens, Greece. I’m Petros Kovatsis — a full-stack developer with 15+ years of experience building scalable web apps, backend systems, and cloud infrastructure. I help startups and small teams turn ideas into reliable, production-ready software.
From MVPs to long-term platforms, I focus on writing clean, maintainable code and setting up systems that are easy to run and scale. I’m not an agency — when you work with Scopecoder, you work directly with me.
Absolutely. I work with founders to bring early-stage ideas to life — fast. Whether you need a polished MVP to show investors or a proof of concept to validate a product direction, I can help you build just enough to test, iterate, and learn without overengineering.
My focus is on speed, clarity, and code that can evolve as your product grows. If you're looking to move from idea to insight quickly, you're in the right place.
I use the right tool for the job, but my core stack includes Java, C#, and TypeScript for backend work, and React or Next.js for modern frontends. I deploy on AWS, often using Docker and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, repeatable builds and environments.
I’m comfortable working across the full stack — frontend, backend, DevOps, cloud — and can own the entire development lifecycle from code to deployment.
I’m primarily a developer, but I deeply value good design. I can implement clean, user-friendly UIs and work with your designers — or bring in collaborators — to make sure your product looks and feels right. I’ve also built products solo where I handled everything from layout to interaction design.
If you already have a design system or mockups, I’ll bring them to life with precision and care.
Yes. I offer ongoing support, maintenance, and iteration as part of extended agreements. I don’t just ship and vanish — I’m available to help you grow, fix issues, or extend functionality as your product evolves.
Depending on your needs, I can offer flexible support plans or commit to fixed hours per month.
Yes — unless we agree otherwise, you own the code. I write everything with clarity and handover in mind, so if you decide to bring in other developers later, the transition will be smooth.
In rare cases where I use proprietary components or open-source tools with specific licenses, I’ll clearly communicate that upfront.
Yes, I'm used to working async with teams across Europe and beyond. I structure communication clearly — via Slack, email, or Notion — and document what matters. We can sync when needed, but I’m comfortable with focused solo work and remote collaboration.
Definitely. Many of my clients stick around beyond the initial build. If you're looking for a dependable developer to support and evolve your product over time — without the overhead of hiring a full-time engineer — I’d be glad to help.
